What it replaces

Calls. So many calls. The customer calling the office to ask if the tech is on the way, the office calling the tech to ask the same thing, the tech calling the office to say 'tell them 20 minutes', the office calling the customer back. Customer ETA replaces all four calls with a link the customer already has.

Does the customer need to install an app?

No - it's a web link. Open in any browser. No app, no signup, no friction.

How does the tech location work?

Tech grants location permission once in their LeadRoute view. Position updates in near real time during the active route. Location only flows during job windows - not 24/7.

Can I customize the notifications?

Yes - SMS or email, the messaging template, the trigger distance for the 'near arrival' alert, and whether to ask for a review when the job closes.

What if a tech doesn't want their phone tracked?

Location sharing is per-tech and per-shift. They control it. The trade-off is the live map ETA only works when location is being shared - estimated ETAs based on scheduled time still go out either way.

Does this work for B2B routes too?

Yes - the contact at the customer site gets the same link. Useful for property managers, retail loss prevention, or anyone who wants to know when the tech is rolling up.
